Why did I ever like Rupert more than Daniel?

Daniel has so much more charisma.

It's coming along very nicely.  To be titled "Floorplan" after an excellent Tegan and Sara song, it's right now at 1000 words, which is more than I had for a long, long time. (Two whole months, egad!)

After I took third place in News Writing at the practice meet, I received my acceptance letter from UNT.

It's not that I really want to go there.  I would--if I didn't have any other options except ACC, but that isn't really the point.  At least, not to me.  I'm just psyched that it's really happening--I'm going to college.  Someplace.

It feels good.

Back in the day when we were so poor the manager at the grocery store had to spot us ten or fifteen dollars to buy the essentials, college seemed like a distant, far-off, impossibility.  Now I know that's not true.  I can make things different for myself, all I have to do is get up every morning and give it my best.  Sometimes less than my best and sometimes more--but it'll even out.  And if I can keep it up, I won't have to worry like that again.

It starts today.

 A review submitted today for one of my fics:

I do think that you need to do a little more research in to your subject matter ands the star wars universe in general.

For instance, Nar-Shada has never been and imperial world, it has always been controlled by the huts, and Myn new that Lara was alive. At the end of the wraith books he is in Wedge's office with Tycho, and together they listened to the message she left because they needed Myn's opinion on her message. In the message she basically let him know that she was alive and going by the name Kernney.

My response:

A couple notes: There's no indication as to whether Donos actually read the message or not at the end of Solo Command. The message was intercepted by Han Solo and Wedge Antilles while in the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon. They forwarded the message, but it was never stated whether Donos read it or not. There was never a scene in that novel where Donos, Celchu, and Antilles reviewed the message in Antilles' office. 

Second, there were passing mentions of an Imperial shipyard over Nar Shaddaa's orbit leading up to and during the Galactic Civil War. This suggests that the planet was in fact under control of the Galactic Empire during the time Darvix would have lived there.

Finally was able to update Guarding Ginny Weasley.  Was that a whore of  chapter, let me tell you.  Figuring out where to go next after the little lust-fest was one of the hardest things I've ever had to write.  Lots of people have said they were worried I might have abandoned it, but I can only say that it's definitely not the case.  I'm just working more slowly than I used to, because of school and everything.  But I'm definitely getting back on track.  As soon as GGW is wrapped up, I can focus more on RMtS, which is also in a rut, but far from being abandoned.

I can't say what's going on with Turncoat, because I don't really know myself.
