I tweeted and tumblr'd this, but there's a line in the last full paragraph of Mockingjay that completely and utterly destroyed me. I don't mean the usual "Oh look Lane's crying over fandom" thing that usually happens to me. This was a "Brian just had a real-life epiphany" moment.

Be Warned. Below I'm about to discuss the controversial scene in Fate of the Jedi: Ascension. I think this is a more nuanced take on it that I haven't seen anywhere else in the fandom, but I wrote it. I'm biased. Of course, the risk you run writing something like this is that you'll wind up angering people on both sides of the debate. But, as is often the case with me, I find that the truth lies somewhere in the middle. 

Let's just get the big stuff out of the way. 

1. No, I didn't like The Scene. 
2. No, I don't think Christie Golden is a terrible person. 
3. No, I didn't like The Scene. 
4. No, I'm not in any way condoning The Scene. For the love of all that is holy, please, please, please read that again. 
5. No, I didn't like The Scene.
6. I thought that on the whole, Fate of the Jedi: Ascension was a decent read. 
7. No, I didn't like The Scene.
